WINE DINNERS . . .

Trader Vic's will host a dinner featuring Thomas Fogarty Winery on July 22. Each of the dinner's four tropical-inspired courses will be paired with wines selected by winemaker Michael Martella, who will make a presentation to dinner guests. A Brazilian dance troupe will perform during the evening.

Cocktails and appetizers will start at 6 p.m. and the first course will be served at 7 p.m. The cost is $125 per person (including tax and gratuity). Trader Vic's is located at 4269 El Camino Real in Palo Alto.

Overnight accommodations at Dinah's Garden Hotel next door will be offered at a special rate of $99 for wine dinner guests. To make reservations, call (650) 849-9800. For hotel reservations, please call (650) 493-2844.

The Village Pub will host a dinner featuring Talbott Vineyards on July 25 at 6 p.m. The dinner will feature six wines paired to five courses, including a component tasting that will allow diners to better identify key flavors and characteristics in wine.
