ORGANIC GARDEN TOURS . . . Foundation for Global Community's Valley of Heart's Delight program and the City of Sunnyvale are co-sponsoring an organic garden tour tomorrow, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $25. HOMEBUYING FOR WOMEN . . . Carla Rayacich, CEO of Stanford Mortgage, will teach a seminar on Homebuying for Women tomorrow from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at De Anza College, 21250 Stevens Creek Blvd, Room MQ12, Cupertino. HOW ARE THE TREES DOING? . . . Canopy: Trees for Palo Alto is seeking 100 volunteers to help check out the health of 1,200 young street trees. Information will be left with residents on how to care for the new trees. Data is passed on to the City of Palo Alto's Public Works Department, which handles pruning and removing stakes (residents are responsible for any watering needed). Volunteers are needed on Wednesday, June 22, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Training is provided. For information, call (650) 964-6110 or by e-mail info@canopy.org.
SUSTAINABLE GARDENING . . . Brian Sullivan of Palo Alto Hardware will offer a workshop at 11 a.m. on "How to Tell if Solar Energy is Right for You" at the third annual Sustainable Landscape Faire on Sunday, June 18, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The faire will be held at Middlebrook Gardens, 76 Race St., San Jose, and will include a tour of five San Jose-area gardens. Green Heart Magazine, which is dedicated to promoting sustainable landscaping, will be formally launched that day. The faire benefits the California Native Garden Foundation.
