The senior, who came into the meet as the state leader, scored a decisive triumph in the girls' 800 meters in 2:10.39 to win the school's first gold medal at the CIF State Track & Field Championships since 1925.
Evan Anderson
Menlo-Atherton High
The senior followed up his 4:13.38 time in the qualifying prelims with a 4:13.66 in the finals to finish third overall and grab the bronze medal in the 1,600 meters at the CIF State Track & Field Championships.
Tori Anthony
Castilleja School
The sophomore cleared 12-3 in the prelims to reach the finals in the girls' pole vault before registering a career best and school record of 12-8 while finishing fourth at the CIF State Track & Field Championships.
Tori Tyler
Gunn High
The senior came into the meet as the No. 1 qualifier and lived up to that position by overcoming two challenges on the final lap to win the girls' 3,200 meters in 10:38.90 at the CIF State Track & Field Championships.
