Palo Alto mom makes plea bargain
Julie Moser, 51, has pleaded no contest to a felony charge of assisting two boys avoid arrest after a Gunn High School teen was severely beaten at a party at her Palo Alto home last fall.
Moser entered her plea on Friday, according to Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Leigh Frazier. She also pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in the Oct. 6 incident , Frazier said.
Moser could face up to six months in jail. She is scheduled to be sentenced July 21.
In addition, Moser was charged on April 23 with driving under the influence and possession of crack cocaine after Palo Alto police made an early morning traffic stop on Embarcadero Road. - Don Kazak
