Gertrude Meade Nelligan, a resident of Menlo Park, died April 21. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at St. Raymond's Catholic Church, 1100 Santa Cruz Ave., Menlo Park. Marcheta (Kitty) Petty, a resident of Palo Alto, died May 7. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at Roller Hapgood & Tinney Funeral Home, 980 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.

George Thomas Sutherland, a longtime resident of Palo Alto, died May 1. A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 20, at 5 p.m. at the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital Chapel, Building 101, 3801 Miranda Ave., Palo Alto. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4261, Pittsfield, MA 01202.

Ethel Silver Young, a longtime resident of Palo Alto, died March 13. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21, at 3 p.m. at Peninsula School, 920 Peninsula Way, Menlo Park. Memorial donations may be made in her name to UNESCO, Peninsula School or the ACLU.
