Dance

Spring Migration 2005

"Spring Migration 2005" will take place Friday night at 8:30 p.m. at Stanford's Roble Dance Studio, 375 Santa Teresa at Samuel Morris Way. Additional show times are Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 p.m.

Stanford University dance students will perform guest, faculty, alumni and student choreography. Tickets are $8 general; $5 students and seniors and will be available at the door on performance nights only. Lecture

Is Elvis Really the King?

"Is Elvis Really the King?" will be discussed Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) at Finn Center, as part of its "Classes Without Quizzes" Arts Lecture Series. The lecture will be given by Foothill College music professor Robert Hartwell.

CSMA is located at 230 San Antonio Circle in Mountain View. General admission tickets are $10; student/senior tickets are $8, with ID. 83rd Annual May Fete Parade

The 83rd Annual May Fete Parade will take place Saturday morning along University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto. This year's theme is "Leading the Way to Healthy Living." Following the parade, the community is invited to hang out at the 3rd Annual Town Fair, taking place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Addison Elementary School, 650 Addison Ave. in Palo Alto. Painted Journey

"Painted Journey," showcasing works by Gregory Burns, will be on display throughout May at Torrefazione Italia Cafˇ, 419 University Ave. in Palo Alto. Featuring artwork, photography and travel writing from 10 countries, "Painted Journey" is a testament to over two decades of traveling, painting and collecting experiences, impressions and musings. Peninsulaires Chorus

The Peninsulaires Chorus, Bay Bells and Peninsula Harmony Chorus will perform Saturday at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Cubberley Community Center Auditorium, 4000 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto. The early show will feature an old-time ice cream social. The later show will feature a BBQ dinner. Theater

Peter Pan

"Peter Pan" will be presented Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Palo Alto Children's Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto. Based on the play by J.M. Barrie, the musical features music by Mark Charlap and Jule Styne and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh, Betty Comden and Adolph Green.

Additional show times are Saturday at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 adults; $3 children and are available from the Palo Alto Children's Theatre Box Office or by calling (650) 463-4970.
