GET RID OF JUNK? . . . The City of Palo Alto is sponsoring a garage sale on Saturday, June 4, where people all over the city sell their stuff between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Applications are due May 9, to receive a free Garage Sale Kit, complete with list of tips for success, a sign and a list of re-use organizations. SAMPLE SALE . . . The San Francisco Mart will be open to the public tomorrow , from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a one-day sample sale at 1355 Market St., San Francisco. More than 100 showrooms will participate, including furniture, lightings and accessories. Admission is $6; proceeds benefit the International Furnishings and Design Association.
