The book review in Wednesday's Title Pages section misidentified two former Stanford University professors. Douglas Campbell was a professor of botany and Robert Allardice was a professor of mathematics. The name of one of the co-editors, Margaret Learmonth McKinnon, was also misspelled.
The Wednesday story about Palo Alto's $21.5 million Enron settlement misidentified the order of events leading to the company's lawsuit in one reference. The city voided, not signed, the four electricity and gas contracts days before Enron filed for bankruptcy. The contracts were, as the story correctly noted, signed in May 2001; the city voided them in late November and the company filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 1.
