SHRUBS VS. LOLLIPOPS? . . . Horticulture teacher Ed Holm will offer advice on "What to Tell Your Gardener" tomorrow, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Gamble Garden Center Carriage House, 1431 Waverley St., Palo Alto. Holm will discuss problems, such as weeds in the lawn, no blooms on flowers or why shrubs look like lollipops. Cost is $25 for non-members, $20 for members. MANAGE YOUR REMODEL? . . . For those who want to get very involved in a remodeling project, local contractor Tim Hmelar is offering a class on "How to Manage Your Kitchen or Bath Remodel" at Palo Alto Adult School for five weeks on Thursdays, April 7-May 5, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Hmelar will take participants through the process, including how to create and manage a budget. FENG SHUI FOR BEAUTY . . .
