CALLING ALL FLOWER ARRANGERS. . . Anyone interested in participating in Filoli's May flower show
should attend an informational and site-selection meeting Monday,
Feb. 7 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
in Room A, Filoli Visitor and Education Center, 86 Canada Road, Woodside. In
addition to learning about the show's format and entry process, succulents
will be available for the Challenge Class. Flower arrangers may participate
in the show through judged or non-judged locations. Categories range from cut
roses, annuals and perennials to container plants and succulents. For information,

MINI-FARMERS . . . John
Jeavons, founder of Ecology Action, will teach "Complete Diet Mini-Farming" tomorrow from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and "Grow Biointensive
Economic Mini-Farming," from 2 to 4 p.m. Both classes will be held at
Common Ground, 559 College Ave., Palo Alto. Cost is $21 each. For information,

VIEW MENDOCINO COAST . . . At
the next meeting of the Florets Garden Club on Thursday,
Feb. 10, 1 p.m., a video will
be shown of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. The group meets at Trinity
Lutheran Church, 1295 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Visitors are welcome. For

Depot is offering a free class for children ages 6 to 12 (accompanied by an
adult) called Kids can Build a Heart-Shaped Corner Shelf tomorrow, 9 a.m.-noon.
