Correction Correction (January 26, 2005)

The recipient of the Housing and Urban Development grant which paid to move chronically homeless into the Palo Alto Hotel, as chronicled in last Wednesday's edition, was the Clara Mateo Alliance, which recently merged with InnVision. Catholic Charities is providing counseling and other support services through funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Clarification

During the City Council's deliberation of reopening the Downtown Library on Saturday, as reported in Friday's Weekly, Councilwoman Hillary Freeman in an e-mail asked why the matter took so long to reach the council. Councilwoman LaDoris Cordell asked the question during the meeting.
