Palo Alto City Council . . . The council will review the city's long-range financial plan and examine a development at 928, 940 and 1180 East Meadow drives . The meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers inside City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

Palo Alto Planning and Transportation Commission . . . The commission will review plans for a 5,600-square-foot home on an 11-acre lot at 5061 Skyline Blvd. as well as an application for a variance on a new two-story home at 705 Ellsworth Place that will encroach on the front and rear setbacks. The meeting will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers inside City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
