"Shall We Dance" (1937) Fred Astaire poses as a Russian ballet dancer who pursues American Ginger Rogers. The Gershwin score is the only one written for Astaire and Rogers. 7:30 p.m.

"A Damsel in Distress" (1937) In a film based on a novel by P.G. Wodehouse, Joan Fontaine plays an aristocratic Englishwoman. Musical numbers by the Gershwins include routines with Fred Astaire, George Burns and Gracie Allen dancing together. 5:40 & 9:30 p.m.
