Palo Alto City Council . . . The council will consider the fate of its library system , an increase in the gas rate , the salaries of its city manager, city clerk and city auditor , and a swap of park land with the school district . The meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers inside City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.). Before the regular meeting, the council will hold a study session on emergency preparedness , which will begin at 6 p.m.
Palo Alto City Council Finance Committee . . . The committee will discuss the city's long range finances and the priorities of the upcoming year's budget . The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers inside City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
Palo Alto City Council Policy and Services Committee . . . The committee will discuss a resolution opposing an amendment to the U.S. Constitution banning same-sex marriage . The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Council Conference Room inside City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
