Palo Alto City Council . . . The council will consider plans to build a new police building , the appointment of Nick Marinaro as fire chief and a storm-drain fee election . The meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers inside City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
Palo Alto Planning and Transportation Commission . . . The commission will review a resident's request to build a home on 11.04 acres of residential open space along Skyline Boulevard. It will also review proposed changes to the city's zoning code that will allow city-owned historic properties to gain some development rights under the "transfer of development rights" ordinance. The meeting will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers inside City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
Community Scoping Meeting . . . The city's Planning and Community Environment Department will hold a meeting to hear community concerns regarding the potential environmental impacts of the proposed BUILD and Campus for Jewish Life projects at 901 San Antonio Road. The forum is a required part of developing an environmental-impact report. The meeting will be held Thursday, Dec. 9 from 7 - 9:30 p.m. at Cubberley Community Center, Room H-6, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.
