MERRY XMAS FROM CALIFORNIA AVENUE ... The California Avenue business district invites all residents to attend the fourth annual CalTrain Holiday "Santa Train" at the train depot the evening of Dec. 5 between 7:06 p.m. and 7:11 p.m. Riding on a super-sized toy train decorated with 40,000 lights and holiday decorations, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman and all the elves will greet kids and pose for pictures. CalTrain and the Golden Gate Railroad Museum are joining with other partners to sponsor this event, which will help generate toy donations for the Salvation Army and the United States Marine Corps. Reserves "Toys for Tots" program. People are encouraged to drop new, unwrapped toys in provided barrels once the train arrives.
