Name: Elena Burton Stillerman Age: 17 Grade: Senior Hobbies: To get that much closer to her life dream, Elena spent the summer at the San Francisco Academy of Art, taking two design courses - one in interior design; the other in fashion. Her room is proof of her passion to gild - two walls are purple, the others are lime green; both were hand-painted by Elena. She also likes shopping. Favorite possession: My fuzzy pillows. First day of school impressions: "There were a lot of freshmen. School seems really different because the science building was gone, so it seemed a lot more open, which is nice."
Name: Kevin Chen Age: 15 Grade: Junior Hobbies: Wise beyond his years, Kevin's the go-to kid if you need help shaking off a bad test grade or psyching up for a home game. He's an expert at relaxing and most of his hobbies, listening to music, playing music and well, listening to music, are geared toward de-stressing. He also runs cross country and gets things off his chest with the Paly Debate Team. Favorite possession: My guitar. First day of school impressions: "After I went to all my classes, I actually had a very clear understanding of what I expected from myself and what people expected of me. That's something that hasn't happened in prior years."
Name: Trevor Richard Felch Age: 15 Grade: Sophomore Hobbies: Trevor says he's into everything, but he really means everything about sports. He'll give you play by plays from every major event in sports history, but only if he's not too busy reading about them. He also likes catching flicks and plays, and traveling. Favorite possession: An autographed baseball by Tom Grieve and his son Ben. Tom is a former baseball player and he's now an announcer with the Texas Rangers. Ben is a player on the Milwaukee Brewers. First day of school impressions: "Everything was good, except my math class is twice as big as last year."
Name: Maya Bruhis Age: 14 Grade: Freshman Hobbies: You might as well call Maya, Mia -- as in Hamm. The brunette has played soccer her entire life. She currently plays center forward for the Stanford Blizzard, a California Youth Soccer Association team. Besides futbol, Maya enjoys diving and talking on her cell phone. Favorite possession: My digital camera. First day of school impressions: "I was told the seniors were going to be really intimidating, and they weren't."
