TV CHEF AT STANFORD SHOPPING CENTER . . .

TV Chef Alton Brown will be featured on Saturday at the Stanford Shopping Center (in the covered pavilion, near Macy's). The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will also feature cooking demonstrations by local chefs, wine seminars sponsored by Jacob's Creek, coffee-roasting demonstrations by Palo Alto Coffee Roasting Company, free samples of Godiva chocolate and celebrity cookbook sales. The center is also hosting a food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank through Saturday. Shoppers are encouraged to donate canned food.
