The junior was the top qualifier for the 800 finals in 2:13.94 in the CIF State Track & Field Championships, then followed that with a career best and school record of 2:10.97 to finish second in the finals.

The senior battled wind and hot weather in the finals of the 3,200 meters, holding the lead at one point and eventually clocking 9:15.95 to take fifth for his highest finish in the CIF State Track & Field Championships.
