"Milestones & Memories: Oregon Expressway" A look at the history of the planning and construction of the Oregon Expressway. -- May 28 at noon.
"Captain Kirkland's Chess Ship" A Minor and a Master: Not music, but chess. A first-year player, Evan; and a Chess Master, Dmitry Zilberstein, perform some great moves. -- May 28 at 4 p.m. & May 29 at 11:30 a.m.
"Newswatch" Kaiser and Sequoia Hospitals as well as the Palo Alto Medical Foundation all have big plans for San Mateo County. We sit them all down together on this program to find out where the plans dovetail and where there are issues to resolve. -- May 28 at 9 a.m., May 31 at 8 p.m., June 1 at 11 a.m., June 2 at 6 p.m. & June 3 at 4 p.m.
"Talking with Henrietta" This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision, which integrated black and white public school students. This momentous decision marked a turning point for America, but where are we now? "Community Journal" The Media Center's Magazine show includes the following features: Watch out for the speedy new Baby Bullet trains; American Sign Language is a great second language, but could be silenced at Paly; High telephone poles are becoming a thing of the past; International Intergenerational Week; Docents make art come alive at Stanford's museum; The Red Barn and its colorful history; Love blossoms in the aforementioned Red Barn in a personal reflection piece by diarist Dr. Rick Lloyd. -- May 30 at 8 p.m. & May 31 at noon.
"Ken Allen Presents: The Music of Mary Finlayson" Mary Finlayson is a choral composer specializing in sacred music. Her distinctive style is honored in this concert commemorating her 70th birthday. Featured are the Valparaiso Singers. -- May 30 at 6 p.m. & May 31 at 10 a.m.
"East Palo Alto Juneteenth Celebration" Musical performances by local artists highlight this celebration commemorating the arrival of the news of the Emancipation Proclamation throughout all of the United States. -- June 2 at 7:30 p.m. & June 3 at 11:30 a.m.
"Karaoke at the Media" This program features some local crooners singing their hearts out and sometimes their vocal chords at the Media Center's November Open House. -- June 4 at 3 p.m.
