Master gardeners will demonstrate how to design a garden plot, as well as how to plant and cultivate veggies, tomorrow, 9 to 11 a.m. at Gamble Garden Center, 1431 Waverley St., Palo Alto. ALMOST EDEN . . . Volunteer workers are needed for the Almost Eden Garden Project, an organic garden that grows veggies for homeless and low-income families. The next work day is slated for Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at the garden, located behind the Palo Alto Baptist Church at 701 E. Meadow Drive, Palo Alto.
