Besides the holidays, Valentine's Day is probably the worst time of the year to be single. The pressure to be part of a couple abounds, and it can be a torturous time for anyone who is not in a committed relationship.

With this in mind, the Weekly is seeking to profile two Palo Alto residents -- male and female -- who are single and looking for a long-term relationship. We are looking for candidates who have tried a variety of dating methods, from online dating to speed dating, to no avail. Candidates should be between the ages of 25 and 40. Students need not apply.

Our bachelor and bachelorette will be profiled in an upcoming issue of the Weekly, which will chronicle what it's really like to be single in Palo Alto. Interested readers should e-mail daters@paweekly.com, telling us what they're looking for, and why they think they haven't found it yet.
