A LITTLE HEE-HAW . . . Feast on the sights and sounds of the Gunn High School Chamber Singers as they lead a caroling parade in the Barron Park neighborhood at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20. Local donkeys Perry and Niner will lead the parade, which begins at Bol Park. After the procession ends, meet at Barron Park Elementary School around 3:15 for some food and a performance by the Gunn singers.
FUN IN FRENCH . . . Want your children to pick up some French? Enroll them in a class offered by the Palo Alto French Education Association . Classes are for kids in pre-k through eighth grade and begin Jan. 20. The group holds classes at the German American International School in Menlo Park. For more information visit www.pafea.org.
ENVIRONMENTAL REUNION . . . Alums of environmental group Acterra's high school environmental group will host a reunion Dec. 23 at the Peninsula Conservation Center in Palo Alto. Acterra was founded on Earth Day in 1990. Its Schools Group is a coalition of local high school students interested in environmentalism.
TEST REMINDER . . . Students interested in taking the ACT standardized test in the near future must register by the Jan. 2 deadline. The test date is Feb. 7. If you want to take the SAT I or SAT II, the next registration deadline is Dec. 22 for the Jan. 24 tests.
ON VACATION . . . The Palo Alto Unified School District Board conducted its last meeting for 2003 on Tuesday night. The board will reconvene for its first meeting in the New Year on Jan. 13. The board meets at 7 P.M. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings are conducted in the board room at 25 Churchill Ave.
