The Harpers Hall Ensemble will perform on Saturday at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Palo Alto. The concert will benefit local charities. Gifts from the harp
:"Gifts from the Harp," a performance featuring several harp players, will take place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 670 E. Meadow in Palo Alto. Performers will include the Harpers Hall Ensemble; Palo Alto native Kyle Wohlmut, who will play an electrified version of the harp; Woad, a harp duo with a Celtic style; and Barbara Schilling.

A donation of $12 general; $10 for ages 12 and under is suggested; proceeds will benefit the Urban Ministry of Palo Alto and the Ecumenical Hunger Program. For reservations and ticket information call (408) 374-1042.

The Motels, featuring Martha Davis, will perform on Wednesday at the ICON SupperClub, 260 California Ave. in Palo Alto. The '80s band boasted four Top-40 singles, including "Only the Lonely" and "Suddenly Last Summer." Today's Motels, in addition to Berkeley native Davis, include drummer Fritz Lewak, bassist David Sutton and lead guitarist Mick Taras. The band's latest album is "Anthologyland," featuring 32 demos, outtakes, rarities, film- soundtrack pieces and unreleased live songs.

Philharmonia Baroque will perform Antonio Literes' Spanish Baroque zarzuela, "Jupiter Y Semele," on Saturday at 8 p.m. at First Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave. in Palo Alto.
