Hidden Villa Farm and Wilderness Preserve

Hidden Villa is a place to volunteer, hike, eat good food, go to camp and visit
farm animals of all kinds and sizes. Started by Josephine and Frank Duveneck,
Hidden Villa in Los Altos Hills has a goal of fostering environmental awareness
and muticultural understanding, particularly among kids. Hidden Villa offers
the oldest muticultural summer camp, began in 1945, in the nation for those aged
6 to 18. Scholarships available (call 949-8641).
Hands on environmental education for pre-school to 1st grade, experiential farm
and wilderness program for 2nd to 6th graders during school year, and Sunday
farm tours (call 949-8653). Mon.-Fri. from 9 a.m. to dusk, the organic farm and
wilderness trails are open to the public, except during the summer camp from
mid-June to mid-August. No entry fee, $5 parking fee. Groups of 10 or more must
