The Palo Alto Online movie page is formatted by movie
name. Meaning that a movie is listed, alphabetically,
and then the theaters where it is playing are listed
underneath with the times to the right.
Somehow this just seems wrong. Most times I go to movie
by location, or want to see what is playing at the
Stanford, or Aquarius ... by the theater, by how far I
have to go, or how crowded or nice the theater is,
or what kind of movies I know that theater plays.
If you want to know all the movies playing at the
Century 16 for example, you have to scan the whole
page, and rescan, and it is more difficult to hold
the alternatives in your mind when they are all over
Does anyone agree that they should change the format
to list the movie theaters and then the movies playing
at each theater? Who thought of the current scheme,

We are in the process of upgrading our online movie pages. The new system will allow users to view movie times by both film and theater, so you will be able to search just the Century 16 or Aquarius, for example. This should make it easier for people interested in seeing what's playing at a particular theater.

I hope it doesn't go totally by theater, I usually want to see a particular movie and don't really mind which theater I go to so it makes sense to me to have it the way it is as well as listings by theater.
