Tursonov was only at Menlo one year, so don't think he's a Menlo "product."

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Tursunov, of course, left Menlo School after one year to pursue his professional tennis career, reaching a career-high ranking of No. 20 at one point. He did not graduate from high school, earning his G.E.D. while on tour. Tursunov was trained by Bill Shine for the year, and acknowledged in an interview I had with him, when he appeared at the SAP Open in San Jose years ago, that Shine was a positive influence on him and that he valued the experience he had at Menlo. He continues to keep in touch with several of his former classmates. This is my long-winded explanation of why I use the term "product" instead of "grad" or "alum." It's the same term I use for the Bryan brothers, since they were at Stanford two years before turning professional. Perhaps there is a better term to use, though I would likely choose to continue utilizing "product."
