Must've been an engrossing project. Lots of grossness and lots of fascination. I'd read it except I have too many books in my must read pile now. I did read the book about the Korean War by Halberstam -- title something like "The Coldest Winter."

Beyond the horrid human rights issues, North Korea is so different it's cooler/hipper than California in strange ways. I'm kind of addicted to the propaganda. I love the rigid parades and music. I love the lack of tech and control over outside influence. No Facebook, thank you Dear Leader!I can't pinpoint exactly why, but Palo Alto has a North Korea feel. Something about the perfection and rigidness. I grew up here BTW. YouTube some North Korea propaganda and see for yourself.
