Town Square

Giants' Pagan Inside the Parker

Original post made by Paul Losch on May 26, 2013

I had the Giants game on the radio Saturday, in what a very topsy turvy game. To paraphrase Yogi Berra: "Wished I'd been dere."

My adult kids and I love baseball and the Giants. Angel Pagan hitting an inside the ball park home run at the bottom of the 10th is about as exciting as it gets in any sport. The sloppy calls by the home plate umpire that led to the SF manager getting ejected ended up leadng to an incredible finale.

I don't typically discuss sports stuff in my column, and this was a game for the ages.

I am sure there are some folks here in town who were at the game, and it would be fun to get their impressions from the "Yard."

Was at the gym, sorta watching the game between sets, saw them fall behind in ten, saw Crawford up, looked away to do a couple sets across the room...

...and saw the replay! Missed the Crawford hit and Pagan's, until they showed it over and over from several angles (love all the cameras these days!)

Had to be awesome to be there!

Quadruple walk offs are a rare thing!
