As a current volunteer counselor, now in my 11th year, it is a priviledge to be part of the Kara family who support grieving folks in our community. I applaud Marizela Maciel's efforts and accomplishments to extend the services to our spanish-speaking neighbors. Kara just keeps getting better and better.
Kara did some amazing work at Gunn a few years ago when the student tragedies happened there. But one thing I learned is that much of this fine organization's work is supported by donations. I don't work for Kara nor do I volunteer for them, but I do give to support their work. During this holiday season when grief is such an enormous burden for those who have lost loved ones, please consider giving to keep Kara going for everyone in sorrow who needs them.
