Are newspapers dying?

Do most of you still read the newspaper? I'm curious if newspapers really are going the way of the dodo, and what that might mean for the future of the news media in general.

Newspapers will not die out. We are a society of people who like tangible things. As great as the internet it, we still like to see and hold a newspaper every once in a while.

I was digging through some junk in my garage the other day and found a Weekly from 1995. It was 140 pages and included a lot of inserts. Compare that to today's Weekly. Probably some of that is due to competition from the Palo Alto Daily. But when was the last time you picked up a Weekly, as opposed to going online and looking up something? That's the point. The Weekly has put all of its copy online, making its print edition obsolete. So why would anybody advertise in the print edition of the Weekly?
