Welcome to Skype. It should be a good fit with neighbors, Facebook. Similar type employees.

Will we also be asking Skype to guarantee no new net car trips into the city and demanding that they build housing for their employees? I think if the council will continue to make these demands from Stanford, then they should for EVERY business that plans to open in town. Skype should submit their plans to the city and then wait about 4-5 for a decision.
You know why our council will not make these demands of Skype? Simple--Skype will tell the city to get lost and move to a more friendlier location. That is too bad--every business that plans to open in Palo Alto should meet the same standards--be it Stanford, Skype or a small mom and pop store

Svatoid, get real. Skype is going to bring in something like 80 employees. Stanford is going to bring in around 3,000.
By the way, what is your connection to Stanford? And please, spare us the time they saved your life, no one is questioning the value of the medical people. We all appreicate them. The issue here is oversized development.
Are you an employee, or is someone close to you connected to Stanford?
