Original post made by Jag Singh, Duveneck/St. Francis, on Jan 29, 2007

Norman Finkelstein, professor of political science at DePaul University in Chicago, delivered an enlightening talk at Stanford University last Thursday to a packed audience. He received a standing ovation after his talk in which he completely debunked many of the contrived arguments and talking points over the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. He assured the audience that the festering problem was uncomplicated and fully supported Jimmy Carter’s depiction of Israel as paralleling the draconian apartheid polices of White South Africa. His defense of Carter’s book appear on Counterpunch, under the title "The Ludicrous Attacks on Jimmy Carter's Book".

Israel had extremely close ties to the apargeid regime in Israel had sold arms to that regime even during the embargo, in return Israel received detailed schooling on how to deal with the palestinians, based on the apartheitists treatment of their black majority. Many of their methods are lifted from the apartheid playbook, from assassinations of children and civilians by paramilitary death squads like the settlers as well as border police, to the famous 'peace plan' in which a few discontinuous areas surrounded by Israeli settlements and military would be allowed to become a "Palestinian State'.

Palestinians should move East. Wanting something is not justification for not getting a life.
