More retail is always good, but grocery stores typically are not good at bringing in sales tax dollars!!

I fully support re-developing Edgewood and the sooner the better, BUT I have concerns about the viability of Wild Oats. I used to live in Sunnyvale, and we had a hard-to-make-a-go-of-it grocery spot there, too, on Mary Avenue in a nice area and Wild Oats did not make a go of it (unless they've returned in the last few years, I haven't checked). I don't know the store size but it was a bit awkward/small. Let's just say that Wild Oats may not be the equivalent of putting in a TJs, which I would have been really happy with at Edgewood.

It's amazing that we have looney tunes flat earthers in Palo Alto. You'd think with the density of science and technology jobs around here they'd be as scarce as hens' teeth.
The sea level is already rising, the earth's general temperature is rising, we've had the five warmest years on record within the past ten years, and Exxon has just been exposed as being behind a lot of the global warming "skeptics," and still the flat earthers whistle while the planet sinks into destruction.
