My New Year’s resolutions for the Palo Alto City Council

Original post made by Diana Diamond, Palo Alto Online blogger, on Jan 3, 2007

Admittedly, it is much easier for me as just one person to decide what the council's priorities should be this year – rather than have nine members collectively deciding. I don't argue with myself.

Great suggestions! There's no reason why our city council should not be able to live up to all three resolutions. We have plenty of examples of long delays causing bad results, e.g., the loss of Ricky's Hyatt. And the pot holes and crumbling public buildings are visible testament to our need for infrastructure repairs.

How about it, council members? Can you sign up for just three New Year's resolutions?

Based on prior performance it won't be the roads that get fixed.
