i see this as a hopeful sign. I think it means that rich environmentalists are beginning to see some resistance to their priorities. Could it be that all them poor folk are starting to demand some prosperity of their own? Or at least, they are starting to say, "No more!, if it means our kids will face an unnecessarily diminished future" . This current dust-up about schools is the tip of the iceberg. It will not be too long before they also say, "We want low-cost electricity, and jobs, and a real future...AND nuclear power to accomplish those things".
Things are looking up for nukes!

I felt pretty good when I read that Joe "nanny government' Simitian was slapped down by the democratic leadership.
then I read in the accompanying story that the Committe for the Green Foothills is worried about "nanny" Joe's demotion. Now i feel even better about joe "you need me to tell you how to live your lives" Simitian being put in his place.
