Most people probably are not aware that there are about 100,000 unnecessary deaths in hospitals, every year. There are many reasons for these deaths, but most of the deaths are attributed to staff errors, or procedures.
This morning's New York Times carried an article that ought to be interesting to people who believe that they are in "good hands" when they are hospitalized
