OAKS REPORT . . . The Menlo College football team scored twice in the fourth quarter, but the late rally fell short and the Oaks dropped a 24-19 decision to host University of Wisconsin-Stout on Friday in the season opener for both teams. Senior <B>Kyle Mosby </B>scored on a 2-yard pass from freshman quarterback <B>Tony Rehn </B>and <B>Matt Truscott </B>caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Rehn with just over a minutes to play. Menlo travels to Chapman for a game on Saturday . . . The Menlo College men's soccer team split a pair of matches, beating Cascade, 3-0, on Monday as <B>Kristian Hagen </B>scored one goal and assisted on the two other goals. <B>Martin Saravia </B>and <B>Roberto Parada </B>also scored for the Oaks (1-1), who host George Fox University on Friday at 4 p.m. Menlo lost, 2-1, to Northwest on Saturday. <B>Gus Lopez </B>scored for the Oaks . . . The Menlo College women's soccer team won twice to open the season. Senior <B>Pamela Ralston </B>scored early for the Oaks (2-0) and the defense did the rest. Menlo beat Cascade, 1-0, on Monday with <B>Megan Finney </B>scoring on an assist from <B>Natalie Hull. </B>Menlo hosts Cal Baptist on Thursday at 4 p.m. . . . The Menlo College women's volleyball team finished 1-4 at the William Jessup Invitational, which kicked off the season. The Oaks' lone win was a 30-22, 20-23, 19-30, 26-30, 15-9 decision over Benedictine University on Saturday. <B>Deborah Bekowies </B>recorded double figures in kills in all five matches, including a career-high 20 in Menlo's 30-28, 30-26, 31-29 loss to Oregon Tech. <B>Christa Hewett </B>averaged 11.8 digs per match for the Oaks, who opened the Cal Pac Conference season on Tuesday against Pacific Union.
