PAU says the pipe was fixed at around 10am. Needs a few minutes to get pressure back up.

It is 11:40 and we are getting lots of stories but no water. Originally it was supposed to be back on at 4:30 am. Hard to believe, but true.

Just to clear up some confusion in the comments above...

There was a planned water stoppage in the night to allow required routine valve maintenance---this work was scheduled then so as to minimize disturbance to customers. Water was expected to be restored by 4:30am. However, just as the work was being completed, the main burst occurred, leading to an UNPLANNED water service stoppage while the broken main was being repaired.

Initially we reported that repairs would be completed by 9:30am, and they were...but as the article above explains, the process to restore each customer's water supply takes time and depending on their location, some customers are having to wait longer to get their service restored. We have diverted all available crews to the task of restoring service and are working as quickly as humanly possible to get the job done. We realize being without water is a great inconvenience.

So I suggest you think about when and if we loose water when the pending earthquake should hit someday.....Our utility department can only do so much so fast...
