Are these talks open to the public, or do students have to be at Paly or Gunn?

The author keeps saying the high school counselors do a fantastic job and you don't need any outside help. But it seems, you do need a book, her book, since none of the others are any good.

Here's the truth: you do need to read a book and learn about this topic on your own, because the college counseling staff at PAUSD is too overwhelmed to cover all of this material. Consider the college counselors to be a great resource for specific questions about PAUSD classes or graduation options, and do not expect more than that.
