There is a continuing upsurge in referrals of young persons to counselors to help with some form of emotional distress, stress or other difficult challenge, according to the Adolescent Counseling Service.

Thanks for the information Jay. "Where do they get the drugs?" is often right out of their parent's medicine cabinets. There is a growing upsurge in alcohol and other drug abuse and, unfortunately, parents do not wish to take a look at their own intake of such substances. Just because they are legal doesn't mean that it's OK to use these substances. I am concerned about the modeling parents do. There are many places to get help and I am wondering how often counselors are even alerted to the serious issues parents may have with alcohol and other drugs. Just mentioning.............
