California State Assemblyman Jerry Hill (D-San Mateo) seems like a man who really could tell you his life story in three minutes flat. He demonstrated his mastery of the elevator pitch before a crowd of about 35 people at a forum hosted by the Menlo Democrats club Tuesday.

I'm voting for Lieber. It is disturbing that Hill doesn't understand that the two-track blended option is NOT "guaranteed". Did he read the fine print? That is not what the deal is.

Further,even with just two-tracks, grade separation will be necessary. With increased train frequency cross-town local street traffic will be interrupted with greater frequency. This is a guy who really didn't do his homework on HSR thoroughly. Ms. Lieber got it right.

I voted for Lieber in the primary over Hill primarily because of his flood of mailings. I'm tired of elections ending up as spending contests. It's good to see that they're both willing to answer questions and face off with each other. I still prefer her but am open to further information. Thanks for the coverage.
