And just how did the Palo Alto Police come to know that this man was at the Stanford Hospital ER about the same time they decided to look for him? How long had he been staying in Palo Alto?
Just for the record, the PA Police have announced over the past several months that they have arrested over twenty people on various charges for various activities related to residential burglaries. However, neither the Police, nor the Santa Clara County DA has announced how any of these cases has been resolved. By now one would have thought that the DA would have been able to "plead out" some of these people. So, what's going on here? Are any of these cases settled yet? How many of these people will be doing time? How much of the stolen property has been recovered?
Interesting that the local media don't seem to be interested in following up on these crimes.

Yeah our overpaid police are too busy ticketing people for turning left of Alma - 300 dollars apiece - rather than trying to enforce the security of residents.

Sorry dude. But traffic laws are for everyone. You got caught, deal with it.
