I'm confused. Is the dance "aimed at all local teens" or "open to all current high school students in Palo Alto" ?
I'm pretty sure it's high school students in Palo Alto but you could email them and ask at email@example.com
Also I saw it posted here and it says "teen event for high school students in Palo Alto"
This seems like a great event! If I can remember correctly, they also put on 'Ignite' last year, and my son said he loved it. Looking forward to hearing about the response.
Why would this event be planned during PAUSD's Spring Break?
Thank you for organizing this event for our teens.
Great idea, terrible timing. Please hold this event again when all the teens will be in town. Our family and many others are going away for Spring Break. My high school freshman has been looking for events like this to attend and this is an excellent solution for teens, especially those who don't drive, who want to hang out with their friends but not at home with their parents.
We agree that its a great idea! The problem was finding a date that worked with the Lucie Stern Community Center, Teen Advisory Board, and the City of Palo Alto. The next available date for this event would have been in May, which would have coinciding with AP testing as well as graduation. Next year, we will definitely take your concerns and change the date to a more convenient time. We still expect to see all the kids that are in Palo Alto during spring break at the dance!
Palo Alto Teen Advisory Board.
I think it's great that the Teen Advisory Board and the City are doing this for the teens. I'm sure it will be fun.
My daughter is really excited to go! Palo Alto should have more teen-focused events, like other cities. This is a great step forward, and props to the city and the advisory board for making it happen.
Lots of beer cans on the ground the morning after, all around the park and walkways.
Beer Cans, perhaps it is someone's idea of an April Fool's Day prank!
