The deafening silence of our government to the continued attacks by Israel on Palestinian civilians should raise the conscience and outrage of all Americans. In Gaza Strip yet another Israeli air strike claimed the lives of three children, five-year old Mohammed Roka, his sister Nadia and sixteen year-old Bilal al-Hassa..
Fourteen civilians, including seven children were wounded in last Tuesday's attack. Israeli air strikes have now killed up to 22 civilians in the past month.
The Israeli network Channel Two offered conclusive proof that the Israeli military was responsible for the recent Gaza beach bombing that killed eight people. Sources inside the Israeli hospital that treated some of the victims said they removed shrapnel used in Israeli shells. Human Rights Watch investigation came to a similar conclusion.
All lives are precious and the wanton killing of children, must be condemned in the strongest terms by all concerned citizens. I urge readers to call up your lawmakers and demand an immediate halt to all aid to Israel and a resumption of funds to the Palestinians. Let us hold Hamas and the Israeli government to the same standards of acceptable behavior.

Ethnic cleansing began in earnest immediately after Hurricane Katrina. A staggering 7,500 teachers were fired condemning them to a wasteland of denied medical coverage and pensions. The state-run school district has ceded control of many of the schools to private charter organizations with virtually no discussion on the planned curriculum.
The announcement by federal housing authorities to close more than 5,000 low income housing units will effectively cleanse the city of tens of thousands of predominately former black residents. The federal government's action will result in the loss of 85% of its former public housing.
The overt racism which determines public policy was epitomized by the disgusting comment of Richard Baker, ten-year Republican from Baton Rouge who told lobbyists, "We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn't do it. But God did."
I urge readers to peruse Bill Quigley recent article on the website Counterpunch, "Bulldozing Hope, HUD to New Orleans' Poor' Go F(ind) Yourself (Housing)! . Bill Quigley is a law professor at Loyola University in New Orleans and director of the Law Clinic and Gillis Long Poverty Law Center at Loyola University.

Thank you for raising this topic, Mr. Singh. I must suggest that everyone do a search on fema concentration camps. One or two results relate to displaced New Orleans residents. All results give reason for discussion, comment, and outrage.

I really hope our tax dollars don't support educating children that it is their moral obligation to stap bombs to themselves and blow themselves up on buses and in shopping malls.
I hope our tax dollars do support a peaceful, democratic nation and its fight to defend itself from these gruesome terror attacks.
Why have the Palestinians rejected and sabotaged every serious effort by the world to bring peace to the region? Please Palestinians - stop the suicide bombings. Embrace peace. Israel will no longer be forced to use its military to defend itself. Use the billions in international aid to better yourselves and your families. Remember there's only one Jewish state on the planet. Can you let them live in peace?
