Crime pays big time!

Original post made by Jag Singh, Duveneck/St. Francis, on May 22, 2007

Who said crime doesn’t pay? The London Guardian recently reported $12 billion that has essentially vanished into thin air. Shortly after the start of the war in Iraq, a huge cache of money consisting of $100 bills shrink-wrapped into huge bundles were loaded onto a C-130 planes and delivered to Iraq. The money was to be disbursed to Iraqi ministries and war profiteering contractors but much of the funds were given to ‘ghost’ employees. The chairman of the US House Committee on oversight and government reform, Henry Waxman was outraged stating, “Who in their right mind would send 363 tons of cash into a war zone?" The cash bonanza came from Iraqi oil sales, surplus UN oil-for-food program, and seized Iraqi assets.

North Star Consultants, Inc. will probably be found out to be a money laundering tool, one of many for Halliburton-in plain English- VP Richard Cheney. The much larger picture is that according to the Inspector General, 7 out of 8 rebuilding projects in Iraq, fully financed by the US tax payer, are totally failing, due to corruption, cronysm and incompetense. This means that beyond the half a trillion$ we have already wasted there, Iraq is a huge black hole into which additional astonishing amounts of US tax payer money is being sucked, at an ever increasing pace.

It is difficult to get a roof installed when someone is shooting at the roofers. The separation of Cheney from his old job was complete.

Before George W. got into politics he ran a company that went bankcrupt. He ran for Governor of Texas because he was out of a job. Now he is determined to bankcrupt the U.S.

No wonder all the entitlement programs are in trouble particularly social security, he has given our money to the crooks in Iraq, Halliburton and their friends!!

Incidentally I heard the U.S. has lost track of some 14,000 guns originally provided to the Iraq army and police. Now Bush wonders why his troops are being shot at!!
