Tough Choice in Local Assembly Race

Original post made by Paul Losch, a resident of Palo Alto, on Oct 7, 2010

How nice it is to have two experienced and seemingly capable people from the major parties seeking to suceed Ira Ruskin.

If I were having the proverbial beer with GOP candiate Connor, my question to him would be, how can the minority party work better with the majority and the Governor to get a budget done?

I were bending elbows with the Dem from San Mateo, Gordon, I would ask the obverse question.

I disagree with them both on certain initiatives, which is to be expected if one is an independent thinker.

I have not made up my mind on whom I will choose. I am leaning toward Connor, even though I am a Democrat. And I may change my mind.

One related observation is how things seem really different voting in this election, when both of the candidates in our District do not live in Palo Alto. I think we have been a little bit, actually a lot bit, spoiled by having Joe Simitian in recent years.

Paul,

Gordon is a wholly owned puppet of the labor unions. He even gives back money to them, from his bloated election campaign fund. He hits all the PC buttons, but he fails to explain how all the entitlements are going to be paid for. He is, in a nutshell, the best example of why California is broke.
