death of an apparently homeless person

I heard part of a conversation today at Mitchell Park Library that indicated he may have died. Does anyone know the story? Having volunteered in a soup kitchen for many years from 1985-1999, I met many helpless souls as this man appeared to be and , having not observed him in recent months, would appreciate knowing the resolution.

Guess you just have to pray for this guy...a wondering soul..somebody's son. I only hope my sons never end up on the streets after I die. The thought is terrible. ANyone remember "TONY", the homeless person that used to sit on a chair inbetween the Country Sun and the Bank of the West on California Ave??????? That man used to go to Palo Alto High School, was a professional boxer and hung out with Frank Sanatra at one time...things got bad and he ended up on the streets back in his home town here in Palo Alto. How he ever sat up straight and slept was amazing..he eventually died..I noticed that his chair and radio were gone one day...then I found out he died. He didn't look well the last time I saw him huddled on the sidewalk in his chair under a blanket in the cold weather...he was going downhill physically then. Then there is "Steamboat" Fulton, still hanging around the last time I heard...he also is a Palo Alto icon of homelessness.....A graduate of Cubberley High School...He used to joke about having so many 501's (drunk drivings)in High School, but he has not been in shape nor has had a car in 40 plus years of being homeless...I last saw him in a court room in Palo Alto being sentenced to jail to get his three square meals..and to recouperate (RandR was a quote from the judge that knows him well)... He needed it, the streets are not a nice place to be, especially in the winter months. We can only hope and pray God for all homeless. But your mind still wonders......
