Original post made by Gunnmom, Barron Park, on Mar 25, 2007

I didn't see 'Batboy' when TheatreWorks performed it in the recent past, so I didn't want to miss this Gunn production. To be honest, it's an odd and interesting show. No spoilers, here, but it's *NOT* about

I've seen Noel Carey in a lot of shows over the years, and he's terrific.

He's been Jack in "Into the Woods." He was the peddler in "Oklahoma!" He was the romantic lead in "Once Upon a Mattress." And many, many more. Just a fun kid to watch on stage with a terrific voice and good stage presence.

Freshman, Ronit Roodman, was both a phenemonal dancer and quick-witted actress, but it was her nimble acting chops that made the greatest impression on me. She has certainly won a place at the table of Gunn's rising thespians.

My son saw it (3rd time) on closing night and still loved it. He came home with a piece of paper that was distributed to all attendees warning of various things in the production. Apparently somebody had called the principal to complain and the "warning" was the result. Too bad whoever called didn't get the theme of the play - judging somebody because they're different - maybe they could have learned a little lesson and enjoyed these phenomenal actors.
