Woodside High Girls soccer team (Division 2) beat Saratoga on Saturday and advance to the semis. Why did they get left out of the this article?

Woodside got left out of this article because its in a different league. PAonline regularly only reports on schools and leagues in its area. Woodside and Saratoga will be in different papers.

Because Woodside and Portola Valley kids attend Woodside High and it does fall within the Country Almanac's 'community' -- they need to do a better job including/reporting what is happening at Woodside High. When i was a teenager-- it was a big thrill to see an article about the team I played on.

If the Almanac doesn't have the resources to report Woodside's athletics and such -- they should team up with the paper that does-- San Mateo Daily News?

Unfortunately, you have to report the information yourself. At most of the high schools (including Paly and M-A), a parent is assigned the job of taking stats and sending it in to the papers. Most of what you read above is written by the schools - either a coach or a parent. Get a volunteer to send in the information for Woodside.
